Attendance at Aekyung Chemical Vietnam LOTUS Project Completion Ceremony
On February 27, 2025, Chairman Han Il-ho and Vietnam Corporation President Lee Jung-ho attended the completion ceremony of Aekyung Chemical's Vietnam LOTUS project to celebrate its successful completion.
This project was a large-scale construction that included the expansion of surfactant production facilities and the establishment of a new unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) production base at Aekyung Chemical's factory located in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam. MAP Group's KEPEC Technology and the Vietnam corporation jointly handled the design work. This is recognized as a result that demonstrates MAP Group's excellent engineering capabilities.
During the completion ceremony, Aekyung Chemical presented Chairman Han Il-ho with a plaque of appreciation for the successful project execution. Chairman Han Il-ho commented, "This achievement was made possible through MAP Group's technical expertise and collaboration with our local corporation. We look forward to further strengthening the cooperative relationship between our two companies."
The completed facilities will expand Aekyung Chemical's surfactant production capacity from the existing 16,000 tons to 40,000 tons, and provide new annual supply capacity of 37,000 tons of UPR products. This is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening Aekyung Chemical's competitiveness in the Southeast Asian market.
Through this project, MAP Group has demonstrated its excellent technical capabilities in the plant design field within Vietnam, and expects to secure more projects in the Southeast Asian region based on this foundation.
Additionally, MAP Group plans to further strengthen its position in the chemical plant design and engineering field within the Southeast Asian region based on this successful project completion. The company will pursue strategies to enhance competitiveness in the global market by strengthening collaboration systems with local corporations.
