MAP Group is an architecture and engineering group founded in 1994. Centered on high-tech design, it provides Total Design & Engineering Services covering architecture, engineering, plant, construction management (CM), and supervision.

The company was founded in 1994 as HANTERIN A&E Co., Ltd., renamed MAP HANTERIN A&E Co., Ltd. in 2008, and renamed MAP Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. in 2023. The group operates under the name MAP Group.

Alongside MAP Architects & Engineers, the group includes:

• K·PEC: plant engineering (established 2013)
• MAP CM: construction management (established 2024)
• MAP Engineering: mechanical and electrical engineering (established 2024)

487 staff, including 462 engineers.

MAP DESIGN CAMPUS, 5-23 Songpa-daero 22-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul, Korea. The group acquired this new headquarters building in Munjeong-dong in 2025.

MAP Group entered China in 2003, starting with the Hyundai Motor Beijing plant project and a local subsidiary in Tianjin. It then expanded to India (2005), the USA and Vietnam (2007), and beyond.

Yes. Alongside architectural design and engineering, MAP Group provides CM and supervision. Its CM service manages projects on the owner's behalf from planning and feasibility studies through designer selection, design management, scheduling, procurement, construction, and maintenance. A dedicated CM affiliate, MAP CM, was established in 2024.

• SK on Ivancsa Battery Manufacturing Plant, Hungary: 30GWh a year; MAP carried out the full design process from schematic design through execution drawings
• SK on Georgia Battery Manufacturing Plant, USA: MAP completed the phase 2 design
• SK on Komarom (Hungary), EcoProBM Debrecen cathode plant (Hungary), and SK Nexilis copper foil plants in Poland and Malaysia

Yes. The Amkor Technology Vietnam New Factory in Bac Ninh is Amkor's most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facility, with about $1.6 billion invested and 176,175㎡ of gross floor area.

Yes. The Calm Square Data Center in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do is an 80MW facility with 89,256.20㎡ of gross floor area on five basement and seven above-ground floors.

• JEJU SamDaSoo Smart Factory: new production facilities and site zoning
• NONGSHIM Noksan New Factory (Busan): a KRW 191.8 billion investment producing 500 million packs of ramen a year

Yes. The website lists 27 fuel cell projects, including the Changwon Hydrogen Liquefaction Plant (5 tons a day) and the Hi-Changwon Fuel Cell (40MW). Plant engineering is handled by the affiliate K·PEC.

The website lists 31 apartment housing projects.

Of the 344 projects listed on the Korean website, the largest categories are industrial facilities (55), automotive and mobility (51), apartment housing (31), fuel cells (27), offices (21), food, medical and pharmaceutical facilities (20), and logistics (20).

MAP Group established its BIM research lab in 2008. Its M2R (MIDAS to REVIT) process, which converts structural design data into BIM models, won the 2024 Technology Award from the Korean Institute of BIM, and the group received the Smart Building Technology Award at the 2024 Smart Construction Awards hosted by Daehan Economic Daily (대한경제). It also uses VR and Digital Twin in design and operations.

ISO 9001 certification (2008), comprehensive supervision business registration (2007), overseas construction business registration (2006), Class 1 electrical facility design registration (2006), engineering business registration (2008), and a corporate research institute (2004). K·PEC is also ISO 9001 certified (2014).
